U.S. Companies Pull Irish Pork

Companies in Florida, New York and Massachusetts are recalling fresh pork products related to Ireland's discovery that some of its pork products may be contaminated with dioxins. The pork included some exported products, report USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service officials.
However, the recalls are classified as "Class II" recalls, presenting a low human-health risk.
The companies are Rupari Food Services in Deerfield Beach, Fla. (about 41,020 pounds); Tommy Moloney's in Long Island City, N.Y. (about 4,041 pounds); and Dawn International in Action, Mass. (about 33,880 pounds).
The products subject to recall include:
"Rosderra Meats, Roscrea Pork Loin Back Ribs"; sent to restaurants in California.
"Tommy Moloney's Traditional Irish Breakfast Bacon, Made from imported Irish Pork"; these products were sent to retail stores in California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Virginia.
"Dawn Pork & Bacon, Pork Loin Back Ribs, Product of Republic of Ireland"; these products were shipped to distribution centers in Florida.
