Dr. Chris Sparks discusses how feeding Levucell SB can improve overall health and feed efficiency. When sows are in optimum health, they return to estrus quicker and experience easier farrowing for larger litters, less stress, and improved sow comfort. The benefits of Saccharomycees cerevisiae boulardii are then also transferred to the piglets. Piglets suffer less scours, have increased imunoglobulins in the intestines for detoxifying clostridia, better villi development, and overall improved feed efficiency. Levucell SB has also shown to decrease salmonella and e.coli shedding (by attachment) for a healthier gut -- at a cost much lower than other interventions. Levucell SB is all natural, no withdrawal, and requires minimal labor compared to shots.
