PSF, PIC Introduce Premium Legacy Sireline
By Pork news sources  |  Thursday, February 17, 2005

Premium Standard Farms is partnering with PIC North America to produce a custom sireline, Premium Legacy. The objective is to improve the quality and eating experience of PSF pork products.

The Legacy program, which began in 2003, uses and enhanced selection process and technology system developed by PIC. The process uses PSF’s production, performance and meat quality data and enables real-time feedback to PIC to implement the Legacy program.

According to Bo Manly, president of PSF, “the Legacy program provides a platform that enables constant improvement in the quality of our product to better meet the future needs of the market for consistent, high quality pork products.”
